Salsa con Son started as a small website devoted to bring you information the Latin dance world and incredible videos, we have grown and now we are covering international congresses, doing event promotion, teaching, performing and organizing events.

Daniel and Daisy are Houston-based performers specializing in the fusion of bachata and contemporary dance. Through the melding of Daisy’s professional background in contemporary dance and Daniel’s knowledge and experience of street dancing, they have created a unique and expressive style of bachata that they are passionate about sharing with the world.
Their partnership known as Team Double D’s is a state-wide sensation, performing and teaching in all the major events in Texas such as the Denver Salsa Congress, Dallas Salsa Congress, and the Houston Salsa Congress, etc. and also representing Houston talent internationally in events such as Oaxaca La Capital Salsera de México and Euroson Latino 2017.
Tanya Yvonne has been fascinated with many dance styles from an early age. The formal dance training started in Middle Eastern dance and Flamenco at DanMar Dance Academy in Houston.
She spent the next ten years studying and teaching a variety of dance styles from Salsa, Hip-hop and Brazilian Samba.
She is proud to have taken part in events whose sole purpose was for the preservation and education of the beauty of different cultures through dance.
Tanya has performed with multiple dance teams and traveled to teach at festivals in Europe, Guadeloupe, Malaysia, Mexico, Puerto Rico and countless cities in the USA in multiple styles including Latin. Her most recent dance project is the creation TWRKNQS. This is a class focused on body isolation and female sensuality.
Adedapo Owolabi affectionately known as “Guapo Dapo” began his Afro Latin dance journey 10 years ago. Dapo has been part of multiple dance teams through his career and he is currently part of Combinado Criollo. In Combinado Criollo.
Criollo has taken over a huge venue and they hold Kizomba & Mambo sessions two nights a week. Kizomba and Semba has been Dapo’s primary focus since 2011. He has frequented countless Kizomba festivals all over the globe. At these Festivals, He has acquired technique from masters from the likes of: Mestre Petchu Kilandu, Eddy Vents,Tboy, plus the Urban Kiz Masters – Albir Rojas, Laurent Yìshù, Moun Red etc.
Being well versed in Bachata, Cha cha, Kizomba, Salsa and Semba, Adedapo has taught at several festivals. He is definitely a must have at any dance event and can stay on the dance floor throughout. Guapo Dapo stresses that dance has been a great welcome to him and has brought so much joy in his hectic career as an IT Professional, plus allotted opportunities to see the world.
Jorge “Yoshi” Sanchez and Solenne “Sol” Ayala are the Valley’s newest up and coming Latin dance duo. They have over seven years experience in Latin dance and have grown within the local dance community as teachers and performers. Sol studied salsa under local dance professionals in the Rio Grande Valley and has minor influences from the North due to time spent in Minnesota. Yoshi is the founder of the biggest salsa community in Texas called “Salsa con Son.” He has participated as a guest instructor at the International Monterrey Salsa & Bachata Congress, RGV Latin Dance Festival, BKS Texas. Mr. Sanchez continues to be a guest instructor in other events around Texas and Mexico. He is also the Artistic Director of the Salsa con Son dance team.
